- Slowly pour in the hot coffee while mixing. The batter will be thin.
- Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans.
Step 2: Bake
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes.

Step 3: Make the Chocolate Buttercream
- Beat the softened butter until creamy.
- Add the cocoa powder and mix well.
- Gradually beat in the powdered sugar.

- Stir until smooth and glossy.
- Allow to cool slightly until thick but pourable.
Step 5: Assemble the Cake
- Place one cake layer on a serving plate.
- Spread a thick layer of chocolate buttercream.
- Add the second cake layer.
- Frost the top and sides of the cake with the remaining buttercream.
- Arrange the KitKat bars upright around the sides of the cake, pressing them gently into the frosting.
- Pour the chocolate ganache over the top, allowing it to spread naturally.
- Sprinkle the top with chopped KitKat pieces and chocolate shavings.
